Captain Ashwin Anupdev was commissioned into Indian Navy on 6th
February 2006. He is an alumnus of the 2nd Naval Orientation Course at
Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. He is a postgraduate in Mathematics with
BEd and prior to joining Navy he worked as lecturer at private college. Post
the joining the Navy, the officer was initially posted as instructor at Naval
Institute of Educational and Training Technology, wherein he imparted
instructions on ‘Trainer the Trainer’ programmes. Subsequently, the officer
underwent Gunnery specialisation course and was posted at Indian Naval
Academy, Ezhimala as Mathematics instructor cum Basics Science faculty
coordinator. Further, being a keen mathematician, the officer was deputed
for Naval Operations Analysis course at Naval Postgraduate School,
Monterey, USA. He is the first among the only three officers to undergo
this course from Navy to date. Post completing the course, the officer
worked as Military OR analyst at Indian Naval Tactical Evaluation Group,
Mumbai for over 10 years. Prior to this appointment, he was heading the
Operations Research and System Analysis Cell of Indian Navy. He is a keen
educationist, with a passion in teaching and training. He has conducted
Naval OR guest lectures and training capsules for many navy-wide course
and training programmes for past 12 years. The officer took over as
Principal, Sainik School, Chandrapur on 18th April 2024.
Vice Principal

Lt Col Sanjay Patyal is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, who was commissioned into the Indian Army on 10th December 2007. He holds a postgraduate degree in Physics from Fergusson College, Pune, and is proficient in the Chinese language. After his initial infantry attachment with 6 JAKLI (SOARING SIX) in Kargil (J&K), he served with various operational formations and training establishments of the Indian Army, gaining vast experience in the field of education. He has also served as Instructor and conducted training at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune. He was commended by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) with a Prestigious Commendation Card in 2023 for his devotion to duty and exemplary leadership while serving as GSO-1 at IHQ of MoD (Army), New Delhi. The officer officiated as Principal of Sainik School Chandrapur from 15th March 2023 to 17th April 2024. Presently, the officer is serving as the Vice Principal of Sainik School Chandrapur.
Administrative Officer

Lt Cdr Rajath G was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 11 July 2016. He completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. He is an alumnus of the National Institute of Hydrography, Goa. He has served in various capacities as Gunnery Officer, Navigating Officer and Assistant Hydrography Surveyor at INS Nirupak & INS Makar. He was involved in planning, executing, and conducting various hydrographic surveys across India. Additionally, he has served on board INS Ranveer and INS Deepak of the Indian Navy before assuming duties as Administrative Officer at Sainik School Chandrapur.
